Poughkeepsie

We took a quick weekend trip to Poughkeepsie, NY this weekend. This was a little birthday surprise for me. Mark knows how much I like to get out of the city, so he planned this weekend for us. We took the Metro North train line up to Poughkeepsie. The train ride was close to 2 hours long. The majority of the train ride is along the Hudson River, so it is quite scenic and relaxing. I really enjoyed it. I thought I'd post a few pictures of our weekend.
The pictures are of us on the train, swimming in the hotel pool, walking around the estate of Samuel Morse (inventor of the Morse Code and the telegraph), and walking across an old railroad bridge that has been turned into a walking bridge across the Hudson River. It was a great weekend!

  1. I wondered where you guys were yesterday. I asked a few people and no one knew. So glad you had a fun weekend out of the city. Happy Birthday!

  2. So glad you could get out of the city as part of your birthday celebration. Sounds like you had a fun time. We loved the darling pics of Jonah! He looked so cute in his UK outfit. Too bad the Wildcats let him and all of us down. Oh, well, there's another chance next year. Have a happy birthday tomorrow. We love you, Mark, and Jonah.
